L\u2019inventeur britannique <b>Stephen Hales<\/b> a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des exp\u00e9riences sur des animaux pour visualiser la pression art\u00e9rielle et la capacit\u00e9 des diff\u00e9rents vaisseaux sanguins.<\/p><p>Pour mesurer la pression art\u00e9rielle de diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces d\u2019animaux,<br \/>Stephen Hales a ins\u00e9rer des tubes fins dans l\u2019 art\u00e8re d\u2019un cheval et mesurait la hauteur \u00e0 laquelle la colonne de sang s\u2019\u00e9levait. La pression diastolique qui est la mesure pendant le rel\u00e2chement du c\u0153ur quant \u00e0 elle, n\u2019\u00e9tait pas prise en compte.
